Energy Saving Light Bulbs
Traditional bulbs waste a lot of their energy by turning it into heat rather than light. Energy Saving bulbs work in the same way as fluorescent lights - an electric current passes through gas in a tube, making the tube's coating glow brightly. This means that they use less energy and are cool to the touch.
Although, initially, energy saving light bulbs cost more than their old technology equivalents, energy saving light bulbs make use of modern technology to reduce your overall electricity costs and consumption over time.
See in the chart below not only the annual savings you can make on your electricity costs savings per light bulb but also the contribution you can make in reducing carbon emissions into the environment.
